BUILDFest: A New Era for Construction Events in British Columbia

BUILDFest, a groundbreaking event launched by the Vancouver Regional Construction Association and the British Columbia Construction Association, aims to redefine construction industry gatherings in British Columbia.

VANCOUVER – A pioneering event named BUILDFest has been introduced by the Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA) in collaboration with the British Columbia Construction Association (BCCA). This unique gathering is set to take place on September 24 at the PNE Forum in Vancouver, and it promises to combine the elements of a tradeshow with the lively atmosphere of a festival, all while emphasizing the strength of the construction community. According to a press release, BUILDFest aims to create an environment where innovation, relationship-building, and community engagement are at the forefront.
Jeannine Martin, president of the VRCA, expressed the core values of the construction industry, stating, "Construction is built on relationships, innovation and a shared commitment to building stronger communities." She emphasized that the event is designed to embody these principles, allowing industry professionals to connect, explore new concepts, and celebrate the vital role construction plays within local communities.
The event will feature a variety of interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and BUILDTalks, along with ample opportunities for networking and entertainment, including the BUILDFest Block Party. This combination of activities is intended to foster creative engagement among participants.
Chris Atchison, president of the BCCA, echoed Martin's sentiments, highlighting the event as a testament to the commitment to innovation and community that characterizes British Columbia’s construction sector. He noted that BUILDFest will facilitate an engaging and interactive environment, providing businesses from across the province the chance to forge new relationships and exchange fresh ideas.
BUILDFest is expected to attract a diverse array of participants, including hundreds of general and trade contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, owners, and industry leaders from throughout the region. This gathering is not only an opportunity for networking but also serves as a platform for companies to showcase their products, services, and expertise to key decision-makers and industry professionals.
As registration, exhibitor opportunities, and sponsorships are now open, the event organizers are encouraging interested parties to visit the VRCA’s official website for further details. The initiative signifies a strategic move to enhance collaboration within the construction industry and to celebrate the integral role of construction in community development across British Columbia.
