Englobe Corporation enhances its engineering services in Ontario through the acquisition of Ottawa-based GWAL, bringing in 100 new employees and expanding its client relationships in the public sector.

Montréal, Québec, October 2, 2024 – Englobe Corporation, a prominent engineering and environmental services firm with a significant footprint across Canada, has announced its acquisition of Goodkey, Weedmark & Associates Ltd. (GWAL), a consulting firm based in Ottawa, known for its specialization in mechanical and electrical engineering. This strategic move will see all 100 employees from GWAL, including its leadership team, transition into the Englobe family, enriching the firm's expertise and service offerings.
Founded in 1956, GWAL has built a strong reputation for innovation and quality service, particularly within the National Capital Region and Ottawa Valley. The addition of GWAL's skilled engineering professionals to Englobe's Ontario branch is expected to enhance its service capabilities, especially in dealing with both private and public sector clients, including various federal and provincial government entities.
Englobe's President, Mike Cormier, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, highlighting the alignment of values between the two firms. This acquisition marks the first significant transaction for Englobe since its acquisition by Colliers, a global diversified professional services and investment management firm, in July 2024.
