Englobe Corporation's New Brunswick team received an ACEC-NB Engineering Excellence award for their consultancy role in the Homarus Centre, aimed at lobster conservation.
The team from Englobe Corporation in New Brunswick has been recognized with an ACEC-NB Engineering Excellence award for their pivotal role as the prime consultant in the development of the new Homarus Centre located in Shediac, New Brunswick. This innovative facility is dedicated to the preservation of lobsters and their essential marine habitats, with the goal of ensuring the long-term sustainability of the Homarus lobster species. The award was presented at the Engineering Excellence Awards Gala, organized by the New Brunswick branch of the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC) Canada. This gala aims to celebrate and promote outstanding consulting engineering services not only within New Brunswick but also on national and international stages. The event underscores the significant contributions made by New Brunswick’s consulting engineers both locally and abroad. In addition to the award for the Homarus Centre, Kyle McConnel from Englobe was honored with the Future Leader Award during the same event. As the Civil Engineering Team Lead in Fredericton, McConnel was recognized for his exemplary performance in the field of consulting engineering, as well as his leadership within the community. Since joining the Englobe team in 2017, he has actively engaged in various community initiatives and has dedicated considerable personal time to volunteer work. The recognition of both the Homarus Centre project and McConnel's achievements highlights the ongoing commitment of Englobe Corporation to environmental and community stewardship in the engineering sector.
