Habitat for Humanity GTA Celebrates Topping Off of Modular Condominium in Toronto

Habitat for Humanity GTA, in partnership with the Government of Ontario and the City of Toronto, has marked a significant construction milestone with the topping off of a new modular condominium project that will provide 33 attainable homes.

In Toronto, a significant milestone has been reached for the Habitat for Humanity GTA project at 355 Coxwell Ave, less than nine months after the groundbreaking ceremony. The topping off event signifies that the building's structural frame has been completed, setting the stage for the next phases of construction aimed at delivering 33 attainable homes. The project is expected to reach completion by the second quarter of 2027. As part of the announcement, it was revealed that applications are now open for prospective homeowners interested in moving into one of the 33 units. This six-storey modular condominium, which was first announced in October 2025, is the inaugural flagship project under the Ontario-Toronto New Deal aimed at developing below-market attainable modular homes. The initiative has garnered substantial financial backing, receiving a $4.9 million investment from the City of Toronto and an additional $10 million from the Government of Ontario. With the application process now underway, future homeowners are encouraged to engage in the program, assess their eligibility, and prepare for occupancy. Further details regarding the application can be found on the Habitat for Humanity GTA website.
