MCABC and Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce to Host German Building Technology Delegation in Vancouver

The Mechanical Contractors Association of B.C. and the Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce will co-host a German delegation of building technology manufacturers in Vancouver, focusing on energy efficiency and innovation in the construction industry.

In an effort to bolster innovation within the construction sector, the Mechanical Contractors Association of B.C. (MCABC) has partnered with the Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce to host a delegation of German building-technology manufacturers. This significant business and networking event is set to take place at Simon Fraser University's Vancouver Campus on June 3. MCABC CEO, Kim Barbero, expressed pride in this collaboration, stating, "Innovation is one of MCABC’s six pillars. We are honoured to partner with the international chamber network to share technological advancements with our industry." The initiative aims to provide a global perspective on energy efficiency directly to B.C.’s construction and mechanical contracting sectors. It also underscores MCABC’s ongoing commitment to equipping its members with access to cutting-edge ideas, technologies, and solutions necessary for the delivery of high-performance buildings. This event has garnered support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, enabling six German companies to engage directly with mechanical contractors and stakeholders in the building industry. Notably, four of these companies specialize in solutions tailored for HVAC contractors, offering decentralized heating and ventilation systems, as well as relevant installation technologies and services. The event will commence with a networking meeting and product presentations, paving the way for one-on-one B2B meetings aimed at exploring specific collaboration opportunities. While attendance is complimentary, interested participants are required to register in advance to secure their spots.
