Request for Proposals Issued for Oak Valley Health Redevelopment Project

Five companies have been invited to submit proposals for the Oak Valley Health redevelopment project in Uxbridge, Ontario, with an expected completion announcement in spring 2027.

UXBRIDGE, ONT. — Infrastructure Ontario (IO) in collaboration with Oak Valley Health has announced that they have invited five prequalified companies to respond to a request for proposals (RFP) for the redevelopment of the Oak Valley Health facility. This significant project, which is projected to cost approximately $200 million, is located at 4 Campbell Dr, Uxbridge, Ontario. The request for qualifications process that led to this prequalification began in December 2025, and the five companies selected are EBC Inc., EllisDon Corporation, Maystar General Contractors Inc., Multiplex Construction Canada Limited, and Pomerleau Inc.
As these firms prepare their proposals, they will detail their strategies for executing the project, which is expected to enhance healthcare services in the region. The announcement regarding the successful proponent is anticipated to occur in the spring of 2027.
Spanning around 140,000 square feet, the new Uxbridge hospital will significantly increase the number of patient beds and expand essential services, including ambulatory care and diagnostic imaging. This redevelopment will incorporate various clinical areas, such as ambulatory services, emergency services, inpatient services, diagnostic imaging, and cardiorespiratory services. Additionally, it will feature an inpatient laboratory, pharmacy, administrative services, and support services.
The project will be executed through a design-bid-build model, which is a common approach in the construction industry for public sector projects. This method allows for clear delineation of responsibilities among the design and construction teams, ensuring that the project meets the required specifications and timelines.
The redevelopment project is a critical step towards improving healthcare infrastructure in the region and responds to the growing demand for healthcare services in Uxbridge and surrounding areas.
