Drewlo Holdings and Copp's Buildall Invest in Future Tradespeople with $20,000 Donation to RMC Construction Academy

Drewlo Holdings and Copp’s Buildall have collectively donated $20,000 to the RMC Construction Academy, enhancing the training resources available for students pursuing careers in construction.

In a significant move to bolster the construction workforce, Drewlo Holdings and Copp’s Buildall have announced a donation totaling $20,000 to the RMC Construction Academy. This initiative aims to provide essential tools and supplies that students require as they prepare for careers in the construction industry. Recently, around 13 students from the academy gathered at Copp’s Buildall, located at 45 York St., for a unique $10,000 shopping spree. During this event, they selected various tools and equipment that will be utilized in their training programs. Importantly, all items chosen will remain with the academy, benefiting future classes as well.
The contribution consists of two parts. The first $10,000 was allocated for the shopping spree, while the second half has been earmarked as an account credit at Copp’s, which the academy can access throughout the school year to acquire additional materials and supplies as needed. Allan Drewlo, president of Drewlo Holdings, emphasized the importance of such programs in addressing the industry's demand for skilled tradespeople. He stated, "Our industry can’t build the homes London needs without skilled tradespeople, and programs like the RMC Construction Academy are where they get their start. I’m proud that Drewlo and Copp’s can help make sure these students have the right tools to learn with, and I hope we see some of them on our jobsites one day."
This collaborative effort not only underscores the commitment of local businesses to support education in the trades but also reflects an ongoing recognition of the critical role skilled labor plays in the construction sector. By investing in the next generation, Drewlo Holdings and Copp’s Buildall are contributing to the future of construction in London, ensuring that students have the resources necessary to develop their skills effectively.
