Ontario Electrical League Hosts Free Roadshow in Barrie

The Ontario Electrical League is set to host a free roadshow in Barrie, Ontario, aimed at bringing together various professionals from the electrical industry for networking and learning opportunities.

BARRIE, ONT. — The Ontario Electrical League (OEL) is gearing up to host a roadshow in Barrie, Ontario, on Tuesday, September 22. This free event invites all members of Ontario’s electrical sector and those interested in joining it. Scheduled to run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the North Swing Golf Lounge, located at 34 Cedar Pointe Drive, the gathering aims to foster connections among independent electrical companies, licensed contractors, business owners, journeypersons, apprentices, and various industry stakeholders, including distributors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Beatrice Sharkey, the executive director of the OEL, expressed the organization’s goal of uniting a diverse array of professionals from the electrical industry. "The electrical industry is made up of so many different people and businesses, and we want to bring them together," she stated. Sharkey emphasized that the event welcomes anyone involved in the electrical trade, whether they own a company, work in the field, distribute products, or are currently apprentices seeking to learn more about the industry.
This roadshow presents an excellent opportunity for participants to engage in discussions, share insights, and explore potential collaborations within the sector. The OEL is committed to enhancing the electrical community by facilitating such gatherings, which allow for networking and professional development.
Attendees do not need to be members of the OEL to participate, further encouraging a broader audience to take part in this event. Those interested in attending can register through the OEL’s official platform, Glue Up.
As the electrical industry continues to evolve, events like this roadshow are crucial for fostering community and ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds can connect and grow within the profession. This initiative reflects the OEL’s dedication to supporting the electrical workforce and enhancing industry knowledge across Ontario.
