CCTA Contributes $8,250 to Salvation Army Across Multiple Locations

The CCTA has made a significant donation to support local Salvation Army branches during the holiday season, reflecting its commitment to community welfare.

In a festive gesture, the Canadian Construction and Trade Association (CCTA) has generously donated a total of $8,250 to The Salvation Army, benefiting five different locations: Collingwood, Bracebridge, Orillia, Barrie, and Ottawa. This act of charity underscores CCTA's dedication to supporting the communities it serves during the holiday season.
At the Collingwood location, CCTA Vice President Dan Hurley and President Rex Meadley presented the cheque to Major Neil Evenden from the Salvation Army. The photo captured a moment of camaraderie and shared purpose as they celebrated the spirit of giving.
In Barrie, the donation was presented by CCTA Director and Barrie Office Manager Bryan Stanton alongside Captain Stephanie Watkinson of the Salvation Army. Their collaboration is indicative of the strong community ties that CCTA fosters in the region.
The Orillia office was represented by CCTA Director Tim Collingwood, who delivered the donation to Major Loriann Metcalf of the Salvation Army. This meeting highlighted the importance of local partnerships in addressing community needs.
Bracebridge also benefitted from this charitable initiative, as CCTA Vice President and Bracebridge Office Manager Bill Van Ryn met with Lieutenant Kam Robinson to hand over the donation. This interaction not only provided financial support but also strengthened the relationship between CCTA and the local Salvation Army.
The donations were made in the spirit of Christmas, aiming to assist those in need during a time that can be particularly challenging for many families. CCTA's contributions will help support various programs and services offered by The Salvation Army in these communities.
CCTA's commitment to philanthropy reflects a broader trend within the construction industry, where firms are increasingly recognizing their role in community engagement and social responsibility. As the holiday season approaches, initiatives like these remind us of the importance of giving back and supporting local organizations.
Through such efforts, CCTA not only enhances its corporate image but also plays a vital role in fostering a sense of community and goodwill, showcasing how the construction sector can contribute positively beyond just building infrastructure.
