Giatec Scientific Launches Giatec 360: A Revolutionary Connected Concrete Data Platform

Giatec Scientific Inc. has introduced Giatec 360, a groundbreaking connected concrete data platform designed to unify various data sources in the ready-mix concrete industry, enhancing efficiency and decision-making.

In the world of ready-mix concrete production, data is generated at an unprecedented pace, yet much of it remains underutilized due to a lack of connectivity among systems. Currently, mix designs are stored in one location, order books in another, and critical metrics such as batch weights, truck readings, and test breaks are scattered across various platforms. This fragmentation complicates the decision-making process, often requiring labor-intensive measures like exporting, reconciling, and manually re-entering data after a load has already departed.
To address these challenges, Giatec Scientific Inc. has unveiled Giatec 360, a connected concrete data platform that consolidates data from the lab, batch plant, truck, and jobsite into a single, accessible workspace. This innovation was introduced at the ConcreteWorks event in Nashville in October 2026, marking a significant step forward in the industry’s digital transformation.
Giatec 360 is designed to streamline operations by connecting existing systems, allowing teams to work from a unified record. Users can manage access and permissions with a single sign-in, linking to their current batch control and dispatch systems. The platform is being rolled out gradually, with each new product developed on Giatec 360 adding value to the overall ecosystem.
Currently, four products are operational within the Giatec 360 platform. Giatec SmartMix™ enhances mix design and quality control, ensuring that quality control teams rely on a singular record of every mix. MixPilot™ monitors essential parameters such as slump, temperature, and volume while concrete is en route in ready-mix trucks. SmartRock® sensors, which are embedded in concrete, track temperature and calculate maturity-based strength estimates in accordance with ASTM C1074. Lastly, Batch CoPilot™, which is in preview, provides AI-driven recommendations for batch plant operators before each load is prepared.
The significance of shared connections within Giatec 360 cannot be overstated. While the user interface is essential, the underlying shared services are what expedite the adoption of new tools. Each product on the platform leverages the same login and connections, allowing for seamless integration with existing systems. This interconnectedness also facilitates access to production data through a single API, enabling businesses to integrate their data into their own dashboards and business intelligence tools.
The consequences of fragmented concrete data are substantial, often leading to inefficiencies and material waste. Quality issues at ready-mix plants typically arise not from a lack of measurements, but from having the right data stored in the wrong system at critical moments. For instance, when drivers must adjust slump by adding water at the jobsite or washdown rack without real-time insights into the load’s condition, it can lead to compliance issues and increased costs.
To mitigate these risks, Batch CoPilot stands out as the first product developed on Giatec 360 from the outset. It provides batch plant operators with data-driven recommendations tailored to each load, factoring in real-time transit data and mix design targets. This ensures that adjustments can be made proactively, rather than reactively, ultimately optimizing the quality and consistency of the concrete delivered.
Currently in beta with select ready-mix producers, Batch CoPilot is being refined with input from the quality control teams and batchers who will utilize it. This collaborative development approach ensures that recommendations are practical and validated in real production settings.
The introduction of Giatec 360 and its associated products represents a transformative shift in how the ready-mix concrete industry approaches data management. By consolidating vital information into one platform, Giatec 360 empowers teams to make informed decisions quickly and efficiently, streamlining operations from the plant to the jobsite. As Giatec continues to enhance the platform, the potential for improved collaboration among contractors and engineers is on the horizon, paving the way for a more integrated future in concrete construction.
