Limen Group Expands Its Reach with Acquisition of York1 Companies

Limen Group of Companies announces the acquisition of York1 Construction Services and its affiliates, enhancing its capabilities in civil infrastructure and demolition.

Limen Group of Companies has officially announced its asset acquisition of York1 Construction Service Ltd., York1 Excavation Ltd., York1 Demolition Ltd., and York1 Equipment Ltd., collectively referred to as "York1." This strategic move, effective from October 23, 2026, is set to bolster Limen's operational capabilities in the civil infrastructure and demolition sectors.
For many years, York1 has established itself as a prominent contractor within the civil infrastructure domain, specializing in a wide range of services. These include earthworks such as detailed and mass excavation, cut-fill operations, granular grading, and soil movement. Furthermore, York1 has extensive experience in sewer-watermain and force main services, as well as stormwater management, which encompasses the installation of both temporary and permanent ponds and storage tanks. Additionally, they have been actively involved in the development of domestic water and sewer systems, along with fire main services.
In the realm of demolition, York1 has catered to various sectors, providing services for residential, industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) projects, as well as heavy civil undertakings. Their expertise includes meticulous planning and execution of decommissioning activities, alongside both explosive and non-explosive demolition methods. They also focus on the abatement and removal of hazardous materials, such as asbestos, lead paint, and mould.
The acquisition of these assets represents a significant milestone for Limen, unlocking new avenues for growth and innovation within the industry. By merging York1's specialized civil and demolition capabilities with Limen's established construction expertise, the company aims to enhance its offerings and deliver comprehensive, end-to-end solutions to its clients. This integration is expected to position Limen advantageously, enabling it to undertake larger and more complex projects moving forward.
As Limen prepares for the closing of this acquisition by the end of October 2026, the company is poised to solidify its leadership role within the construction sector. The strategic acquisition not only expands Limen's service portfolio but also reinforces its commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions.
In addition to this acquisition, Limen has recently maintained its IHSA COR Certification and achieved ISO 45001:2018, further showcasing its dedication to safety and quality standards in construction. With these developments, Limen Group continues to demonstrate its growth trajectory and commitment to enhancing its operational capabilities.
