Pariseault Builders Enhances Healthcare Project Coordination with Bridgit Software

Pariseault Builders revolutionizes its project management in the healthcare sector by implementing Bridgit, a software solution that streamlines workforce data tracking and enhances collaboration across teams.

Pariseault Builders, a prominent player in the healthcare construction sector, has faced unique challenges in managing its workforce effectively. As Chris Integlia, the company's Chief Operating Officer, points out, entering the healthcare construction market requires extensive prior experience and specific knowledge. "Anyone can’t walk off the street and do a project in a healthcare facility. One of the barriers to entry is, how long have you been working in healthcare?" This requirement creates a need for detailed tracking of workforce capabilities, a task that has historically been cumbersome for many contractors.
For years, Pariseault Builders relied on traditional spreadsheet methods to track workforce data, often with frustrating results. Integlia describes the limitations of this approach: "The data that was in that Excel spreadsheet was typically characterized by one person’s memory—or lack thereof—and qualitative assessments of role capabilities by employee. It was difficult to harness. It was difficult to implement and update consistently. It just took a long time. At best it was probably 50% accurate, and it was 100% inaccurate within about an hour and a half of being deployed." This lack of reliability not only hindered data accuracy but also obstructed collaboration between departments, leaving field operations disconnected from HR and training needs unaligned with upcoming projects.
The consequences of these inefficiencies were evident. Field crews often felt disrespected, being shuffled between jobs without clear communication or purpose. Integlia noted, "There was a perceived disrespect. There was no real disrespect there, but they felt disrespected. They were sent to jobs where they weren’t really needed." Additionally, project executives struggled to predict team availability for future projects, complicating strategic planning.
To address these issues, Pariseault Builders turned to Bridgit, a software designed to streamline workforce management. Integlia expressed his surprise at how smoothly the implementation process went, contrasting it with previous experiences where new tools met resistance. "Bridgit was able to effectively convince a wide range of people from different walks of life in this industry to accept it. And that’s pretty atypical," he remarked. The result was a unified platform where operations, HR, and field teams could collaborate effectively, tracking who was available for current and upcoming projects.
The transformation brought about by Bridgit has been significant. Integlia highlighted the newfound ability to coordinate across departments, stating, "Now we not only have all the active projects, we have all the pursuits. From a project executive viewpoint, they’re less excited about what’s going on in real time and more excited about what’s coming up." This shift has allowed for pre-planning, where teams can secure necessary certifications before starting new jobs, creating a smoother transition between projects.
Furthermore, Pariseault Builders has introduced Ask Bridgit, a conversational AI tool that allows team members to query workforce data intuitively. Integlia illustrated the efficiency of this feature, explaining, "The very first thing I did, I started typing. I said, ‘show me all the employees with AED certification.’ Normally I’d have to run a report, but bang, up it came." This tool not only saves time but also empowers employees at all levels to access critical data without bureaucratic hurdles, reinforcing the value of maintaining accurate workforce information.
Looking toward the future, Integlia sees potential for further enhancements with Bridgit. He plans to implement project tagging to better capture job characteristics and connect them to workforce experience, enabling more confident business development pitches. Additionally, the integration of training scheduling has simplified what used to be a complex and frustrating process. "We’ve gone from clawing our eyes out to get training scheduled and completed, to it’s just a matter of course now," he stated.
For Integlia, the success of Bridgit is attributed not only to its functionality but also to the collaborative relationship with its developers. He emphasized the importance of open communication, stating, "Open, honest, two-way dialogue is what makes a true partnership. Someone wrote good code, they made great functionality. But at the end of the day, it has to evolve through dialogue. And Bridgit has great people." As Pariseault Builders continues to evolve its operations with this technology, the company is well-equipped to meet the demands of the healthcare construction sector and enhance project outcomes.
